One More Summer by Liz Flaherty
Grace Elliot has returned to the family house where her brother Steven and sister Faith have turned over their 1/3 of the property to her as their father had passed away a few weeks ago.
She planned on running it as a Bed and Breakfast but an Inn would be better for long term residents which a lot of them are the elderly of the town.

Her best friend, Promise Delaney is going to be going through breast cancer surgery and chemo and will need her help.
Dillion Campbell, the boy she was to attend the prom with but didn't show up after speaking to her father, is back in town. He was a reported covering the war and now writes novels.
He's so tired he needs to rent Grace's guesthouse in the back to recuperate and to help by paying for his stay.
Jonah who had lost all his retirement money was living there.
Maxie's cousin stayed after her dad's funeral and never left.
Daily life goes on as they get the guesthouse ready for Dilion, he does most of the work with others helping with the light sewing.
They are all there for Promise after her surgery.
Grace is starting to feel comfortable with Dilion again and she talks to him about his new book and how to make it better than the last one he wrote. She has a LOT of issues from the past, mostly her dad who didn't have a good word to say about her at all.
She has to overcome all that.
A lot of secrets come out and the rest of the book helps make sense of what happened earlier in their lives. Awesome read!

One More Summer edition by Liz Flaherty Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

I loved the different characters personalities and how they all meshed together to make a wonderful story of friendship, love and acceptance.
Love, Love, Love, LOVE this book.

Within the first two pages I had laughed, cried and then laughed again. Liz Flaherty caught my heart in the first chapter and never let it go. Even though I thought some of the story was a titch predictable, it was written so well - I didn't care.

Thank you, Ms. Flaherty. You made my heart sing.
I'm not going to do a recap of the plot of this story because other reviewers have done that already. I'm only gong to say that Liz Flaherty's voice is fresh and fun, entertaining and moving. Her characters come to life and you feel an immediate affinity to them. Thanks Liz, for a terrific book--it's first time I've cried while reading a book since...I don't know...Anne of Green Gables or maybe Little Women.
I did enjoy this but the editing made it difficult to read on the kindle, like the scenes were jumbled together. The book was good, though, but needs a bit of editing for that.

The character's were interesting, and I found the plot enjoyable.
You will cry, you will laugh and you will feel like beating the grab out of someone. But this book was so good I couldn't put it down. You have got to read it.
This was one of the most beautifully written books I have ever had the pleasure of reading. This is a love story about several different characters that are all interwoven through a warm, funny, and sad journey during one summer. This was my first book by Liz Flaherty and I am so happy I have discovered her. Her story is presented with a uniquely executed style of poetically flowing words that brings forth so many buried emotions. I could relate to so many moments that paralleled with times in my own life. I think there is a part of each of us in this story. I have already downloaded her new book, "Jar of Dreams", and can't wait to read it.
One More Summer is definitely a story that touches your heart and stays with you for a long time after you read "the end." Ms. Flaherty has a deft hand in bringing deep emotion to the page. She kind of grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go. ) Her characters are well developed and easy to relate to, and the storyline is interesting. The pain, suffering, and loss was at times difficult to read because of the tears that flowed easily from this reader, however, they were good tears. It's important to stay in touch with those emotions because we've all had losses and struggles and it's easy to gloss over, or deny them, and forget their importance to our frail human senses. It's wonderful to read about the journey, the recovery that is also possible. I adored the developing relationship between the H&H and was thrilled that they could let go of past traumas to embrace love and family again.
This was a romance that leapt up, grabbed me by the heart, and would not let me go. I read upwards of 200 books a year, but I have no doubt that this book will be one of my top reads of the year. I have to echo one of the other reviewers in noting that this book was so much more than I expected from the description. It had all the feels, by turns sweet, funny, tender, joyful, heartbreakingly sad, yet hopeful. I knew, as soon as I read the sample, that I had to read this book. It leapfrogged right to the top of my towering TBR mountain and refused to let me put it down. Grace was such a compelling character, prickly and tough, yet soft as a marshmallow, a born caregiver, finally out from under the shadow of her abusive father and stretching out her wings for the first time. Dillon was the perfect match for her, he was always there to catch her and he never gave up and let her retreat into the dark attic in her mind, no matter how tough things got. The secondary characters were important to the story and gave it extra richness, and the friendship between Grace and Promise was so strong, you could almost see the unbreakable threads, forged over a lifetime, that bound them together. This is a story I won't forget anytime soon.
