I read the first Big Girls series and it was good -- not great -- but good. Good enough for me to dive into the spinoff series. The first two installments were very short and the choices the characters were making made it really hard to like the two mains. By the time we get to the third and final installment, I felt the author was using drawn-out sex scenes as filler -- to the point I found the sex boring. I did end up liking Chase and Jamie but I felt more "vertical" story could have been added. That being said, it is what it is, I suppose. But I don't think I'll be reading any further Jasinda Wilder books.

This book explanations how chase and jasmine gets together. even though it's part of Ms Jasinda Wilder's rock star series. so if you like the Big Girl Series, you got to buy/read this book. well written worth you time and weill fill the gap from Big Girls do it married to Big Girls do it Pregnant. Enjoy
I'm going to leave the same review for each book in the series....they are all a good read....keeps you interested and makes you wanna know what happens. She leaves the endings at great points to leave you in suspense. I will say that there is a LOT of sex in each of the books. Sometimes it gets to be repetitive and i really believe that some of it could've been omitted and still had the same effect. Maybe more story line rather than 16 pages (on my kindle) of sometimes slow, repetitive sex. But, overall a good read!!
Retired now, trying to preserve the limited funds so mostly free and less expensive books fill my kindle. But when I really need a well written romance with characters that become important to me, Jasinda is an author I turn to. This entire series is great, hands down.
I have checked and iTunes every day since I found out about this book. I started with the Big Girl series and I'll admit when I found out that Anna and Chase didn't get together I didn't go any further than Book1 of that series. Frankly I never liked Ana and felt sorry for Jamie and Jef and most of all for Chase. I wanted to slap her through the Rockstars series, but I kept with it and DOUBLE DIXIE was it worth it! A true writer is a story teller who weaves you in and out and all around sometimes mad, sometimes sad, sometimes thrilled and sometimes just annoyed at a character. The take you somewhere. Somewhere better than the existence you live in. Ms. Wilder is such a writer. I highly recommend this series - including that annoying amiba Anna )
I felt that the author tried too hard to make this a full novel by filling it up with too many sex scenes. Which seems an odd thing to say about an erotic novel, but is the truth. I wanted more character and story development. I do not regret reading it, but I wouldn't read it again like the others. I read the Whole 'Big Girls Do It...' series and all the Rock stars series and this was the least impressive.
****Spoiler alert**** I am also upset at the direction the author took the characters in. Chase is great, but Jamie seems weak and Anna is bitchy, I would never say half the things to my bff she did,in the same situation. If she is so happy with Jeff why can't Jamie be happy too? She even tried to belittle their engagement because Jamie is pregnant. Anyway, I just had to say that because all of Jamie's interaction with Anna in this one just made me angry and ruined the book for me.
I read through this whole series (including the Rock Stars Do It) in less than 2 weeks.

I was taken on a journey through two young ladies lives from not having anything together, to completely together and having babies and real life problems. With a whole 'lotta sex on the way.

I enjoyed these books. The writing style is addictive and intriguing. Anna, Jamie, Chase and Jeff were all likeable characters. The side characters were interesting as well. This whole series was well done and a fun read.

The only reason they get four stars instead of five, was the sex scenes. There were SO many, and often felt redundant. I understood why they were there, and I'm happy to read a steamy romance, but there was A LOT. But that's what they were about and it made sense, just a little too much for me in two weeks time. Perhaps had I spaced them out, it wouldn't have been quite so apparent.
Rock Stars Do It …. Series Review
This is a spinoff of the “Big Girls Do It” series and focuses on Jamie and Chase. Wilder writes an even better erotic love story between these two than the story of Anna and Jeff in Big Girls. Though I like the stories equally, I really gravitated to the relationship between Jamie and Chase because of the situation they were in being Anna’s ex and Anna’s best friend. Wilder keeps you guess will this “forbidden” relationship ever cement itself and become real. Well written to keep the pages turning and boy is the sex H.O.T. and H.O.T.( made me even blush at times). Especially love the turmoil in the relationships between Anna and Jamie and Anna and Chase and how it all works out. Be sure to read Big Girls first and then trail off into these stories and then finish with Big Girls Do It Pregnant!!! What a ride of a read. Wilders early works ROCK!!!
