This is my third book, via kindle, that I have read from this author. I just can't say enough about Pamela Callow. She develops the characters in such a way that you feel like you personally know them. Also, in some book series the author seems to feel they have to tell the original story in every single book. Pamela brilliantly intertwines the original story details on an 'as needed basis' so the reader does not become bored with repeated story lines. I also like how she lets the reader know, not only what the characters are saying and doing, but what they are thinking, good or bad. That adds so much introspection to the story line. I look forward to reading all of her books. Each one is better than the last!

All of the books in this series have characters who are easy to relate to and who are realistic in their strengths and weaknesses. Unlike many authors, Pam doesn't have her main character "fall" in love with every good looking guy who comes along. Very refreshing to read.
The third book in this series continues the complicated life of the heroine lawyer Kate Lange. A very well drawn character study, the continuing story of Kates’ adventures is sure to delight fans of police procedurals, murder mysteries and strong women. I highly recommend this author and look forward to the next chapter in the story of such a conflicted yet capable woman trying to balance career, friendships and love.
This is my third Kate Lange thriller and they just keep getting better! Pamela Callow has a gift for grabbing your attention and not letting go until the last period. Kudos to this new voice ànd keep them coming!
I loved the multiple layers of mystery and how the book came together at the end! The end was a surprise and I love when I cannot figure out the end!
I recommend this to anyone who likes mysteries and thrillers! I finished it in 2 days! Loved the lawyer, the cop and the dog sitter!
Another great book in this series... I've loved all these 1st 3 books and am starting the next right away... each book makes you feel as though you are right there and also highlights on really serious topics... (assisted suicide, Alzheimer's, etc.)
This is a 4-volume series which gets better as it goes along. The first one - Tattooed -- gets off to a slow start but finishes well, and the other books in the series are great! If I were to rate the series as a whole, I would definitely give it 4 stars. This is a young lawyer struggling to build her career. She has bought her own home and has inherited a beautiful dog who stays attached to the house. She has confusion in her love life that makes sense to a lot of us. Good reads!
I have now read the first three of Ms. Callow's Kate Lange books and I am looking forward to starting the fourth, which I already have on my , and hopefully more after that (though I notice that it has now been almost two years without sign of a fifth). The stories seem realistic and certainly engrossing. I like the detailed character development and the way the author portrays how the major players are thinking about what they are feeling and doing. This is quite lacking in most mystery and thriller books I find interesting. I also like that while the plots are complicated, they are not so much so that I lose track of the characters. It is also good that none of the lead players are beyond faults and frustrations. While probably not necessary, I think it is a good idea to read the books in sequence, as the main characters carry on and their history and development are important and interesting. I highly recommend.
